Help!!! Where is the chassis number stamped on a MK 2 ?

I am about to sell a MK2 RS2000 project and the guy (from a different state) is asking for the chassis number that is stamped into the metal somewhere in the engine bay. He doesn't mean on the compliance plate he means on the sheet metal itself.
Does anyone know where I can find this number - when I find it the car is sold! So any help is greatly appreciated.

The chassis number is stamped on the sheet metal on the strut top (the metal plate with the hols that the strut pokes through) on the right hand side, usually in front of the strut itself. It should match both the number on the Compliance Plate and the engine number, as they were all aligned at the factory.
