Bathurst beer glass information

Just wondering if anyone here can tell me something about this beer glass.

Was is something you could buy at the track? or a promotion of some sort.

they even supply glasses

Its from the 81 Bathurst 1000km race to commerate Johnson & French victory. Looks like it also carries a list of previous winners.

PS - I don't think it will hold anything with that crack (Can Windscreens O'Brien fix that?).


Now to state the obvious - I've got no idea of its significance, but my bet would be it was a promotional thing from James Hardie. Available at the track? - (unlikely) as they wouldn't have know the winner before the event. I've got some James Hardie Port Glasses (that might have originated from Bathurst TAFE where the catering area hosted some presentation dinners etc) - but don't carry any winners details.

The full story is:
I broke the glass removing a window from this guys pool room.
The glass fell off the shelf and i now have to pay for a replacement.



Just wondering if it's worth the amount of money being held from me.

It's much more fun going broke at the beach!

good place to start asking, or google beer glass etching and get one made prob a min order tho, other than that good luck 30 years old prob not that available anymore
