No news is bad news...!

Hi Folks,

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. I wish you all the best for 2009 and what ever it has in store for you.

Well, you may have guessed by the quiet period that my news is not so good, for me anyway. I had to send the most difficult email I have sent in ages two weeks ago. I have declined the offer of employment and relocation to QLD. My family were just not enough into the idea at this period in our lives and I could not risk, in the current financial situation, quitting my job here and coming over alone for a minimum of 6 months. Who knows what could have happened??

So folks I have not said I am not coming but have told the company that for the time being I dont want to keep holding them on and messing people about. They did say they would still apply for my visa and wait for me, but immigration dont like to hold on indefinately. It is just a case of bad timing really.

I am going to re-address my situation and re-apply in six month time when my dauaghter has finished school. By then we will know better where we stand and what to do next.

So sadly I wont be joining you for beer this summer, doh and double doh!!

On a right downer now, and to top it all off I have been working offshore right over all of Christmas and New Year. Bahhh Humbug!!

Oh yeah, I forgot. To cheer myself up I just bought another project car to keep me busy. Just been delivered to my homelast week by a mate so not even seen the car yet. How do you fancy a space framed Anglia running a 300ZX Twin Turbo engine... Oh yeah!!

Sorry to hear that you won't be joining us in Brisvegas this year, but you do have to put family first. Still, you are in the land of endless small ford bits and pieces so enjoy yourself. Sounds like you've already undertaken some "retail therapy" to get you over your disappointment. Well done
