Mk2 Tacho replacement. What have others done.

Postby Cam » Tue Oct 15, 2013 11:12 am

My original tacho flaps around like windsock in a cyclone. I thought I'd update to something a bit more modern and reliable within the standard binnacle.

I'd love to see and hear what other forum members have done in the past.

I like the look of this, but not sure how it would fit - http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/a ... /overview/

I took mine into a joint in Ringwood Melbourne and they rebuilt the original one with updated internals.

Works great.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi,

I have a VDO (8000 rpm) mounted in the standard Mk2 binnacle.
Fits with only small modifications.

Thanks Matt, thanks Leon.

Leon, did you use the 80mm or 100mm version?
