More compliant mounts for WCXM?

Postby b930 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 11:53 am

Hi
I'm have a hard time putting up with the vibrations through my worldcup XM (cossie YB) in my Mk1. I dont have the stock crossmember and was wanting to know what others may have done to build more compliance into the mounts?

I have heard people say that drilling them helps etc. I think I may source a stock XM and RS2000 mounts for street and change out to WCXM when I need to, but building a bit more compliance into the WCXM may be a good compromise.

Cheers.

Just drill a series of holes into the bushing material

Yep, I'll do that. Quick one before I start, can the bushed be removed in situ or does the crossmember have to come out / bushes pressed out?

Cheers.

If it's got the original type bushes they can be a pain in the arse to get out in the car and I personally would be drilling them in situ
