4 link box types

Postby jpayne » Wed May 23, 2012 11:55 pm

Guys,

Of the commercially available 4 link boxes is one 'type' taller than another to better suit a low circuit car rather than a standard or raides rally car?

Justin,
Talk to the guys at Gartrac, they have seen and done everything with Escorts over 40 years regarding links etc. They are very helpful wrt providing information.
Cheers

Just to add my 2 pence worth!

From a historic aspect I understand the early mk1's used a short link box set-up which also suits tarmac cars where less suspension travel is required. Some UK Grp4 historic classes require the use of these.

Otherwise the traditional gravel spec long link boxes exist of which there are many varities. I believe the gartrac is the most historic original spec and are fitted with the boxes slight angled inwards.
