A few pics from this weekends WA Experts Cup. I was in my normaly silly seat next to Blair Pugh in his awesome Mk2. Unfortunately we had to retired after SS5 due to breaking the steering rack mount off the crossmember.

Yes car is PRC P3 running a Jenvey throttle bodied injected 2ltr pinto, Quaife kitted 5spd, through a Nissan diff (but the diff is now breaking every other rally).

Basically the same set up as mine. Except my throttle bodies are EFI Hardware and my diff is a BW78.

Has he had thoughts of arching it?

He has a spare shell which might get the Grp4 treatment. I get the impression that'll wait until this shell gets retired (which we came very close too this weekend)

A quick update:

New toy - TranX SC CR type 9 (an expensive fix to my 4th gear selection issue)

Its very noisy, especially in 5th being an overdrive. But I have been assure thats just the straight cut gears.

I put it to test at the McRae Rally Sprint last Sunday - the only pic I have is from my wife's mobile:


Car was down on power and drank heaps - Once I got it home I spotted the rear DCOE was missing it's jet cover so i'm hoping that was the cause.

running without jet covers doesnt bother them at all
just to keep the crap out realy

I was competing against 2 westfields, a S2000, and a 200hp 3SGE powered AE86 corolla - so it wasn't quite like for like! But I still hate coming last

Its the heavy 4wd housing but it's all I have at the moment.

Moose: I was just watching Gumtree and the Quokka. That one came up on Gumtree and was a nice size for the escort - I saw a few others but they were all massive and way OTT for my little car.
