How Many Escorts Have You Owned?

1st: 1970 Mk1 2dr 1100L ... owned around 18yrs ago, bought for $100 when i was 13, drove it around the backyard etc then sold it to a wrecker for $50 when the engine broke!!
2nd: 1970 Mk1 2dr 1300XL... owned around 9yrs ago, converted to 1600 etc and rebuild/resprayed, sold to my brother then he onsold to someone else and lost track of it... had lots of good bits on that car.
3rd: 1973 Mk1 2dr 1300XL... current project, going to be 1600 etc, rebuilt/resprayed
4th: 1974 Mk1 2dr 1300XL... current projects parts car, has the 1600 etc that i'm going to use.... has been T boned!

I can only put my hand up for 3 cars; a Mk 2 1980 denim pack, a Mk1 2 door that became my first hillclimb car and my current Mk2 sports sedan.

And this is what happened....
Fitted 45mm Webers....car was quick ....attempted overtaking manouver ....head on into XC GXL fairmont...

Stupid expression on my face was due to 8 stitches in my bottom lip where my face hit the steering wheel and scored a broken collar bone as well. Ive never driven an Escort again without a harness.

And the denim seats were great!!!!
