No its just got rust in the usual spots. its actually not that bad... (i know who has the car... and i know the car pretty well)
considering the prices for standard cossies on carsales... thats a bargin.

Its the worst rust I have seen in an Aussie Cossie Ty. The price is reasonable if the engine and drive line are in good nik. There are plenty of Cossies around for 30k or less (even a 500 on car sales) that I would buy before tying to address the rust in this one. Would make a good base for a club car I guess.

I guess I was just lucky mine came over when it was young and wasn't exposed to the elements in the uk to much. I had no rust issues what so ever. Not sure if the Saphires were better than the 3 doors in this regard. (Mine was the Moondust silver 4x4 that Michael Hemmerling had prior to his 500)

Jason, your old sapphire was in excellent condition.. as you know, one in that condition is hard to find!
i had two sapphires one was 4x4 the other 2wd and both had rust! the 4x4 was in aus early on in its life. the 2wd was from NZ
