Gary,
I didn't know Pinnacle would handle a VOB file properly?? although I use Studio 9 so may be different to "DV" so I may be wrong
There are various programs available to convert VOB files to MPG or AVI that will work in Pinnacle
Or you may have corrupted or damaged codecs, and that could be the cause
I have done a lot of videos with Pinnacle and always found the best way to get decent results from it, is to capture from the camera as either full DV quality or the top MPEG quality, then when creating files for uploading I always found the .wmv output is best.
The clip you uploaded of my car has the sound and video tracks out of sync, that could be caused by accidental dragging of one or other track, if you are using the "timeline" view, or again by a dodgy codec.
Pinnacle have some forums on their website that can be useful for finding answers to problems like this, which is just as well as it can be very buggy software,
especially all new releases,
Pinnacle has a history of releasing unfinished products on the public, then seeing what goes wrong before releasing endless updates to fix it
