cossie T5 query

g'day folks,
Thinking about 5 speeds and I had a thought. Quaife do a close ratio semi helical gear kit to suit the cossie T5 https://shop.quaife.co.uk/ford-sierra-c ... fe-gearkit The ratios look good, I like the idea of the semi helical cut for a quieter box in a tarmac rally car that is loud enough to almost warrant shouting even with an intercom (conversation almost impossible without helmet in transport) and unless anyone can comment otherwise i believe it will be stronger than a Type 9 with straight cut gearkit anyway with better syncro design.
What I am also hoping, and here in lies another advantage of this route, that I can pick up a cheap local falcon etc box and by fitting this kit which includes the correct input shaft have it suit my car without too much fuss (other than different bellhousing and shorten prop shaft a tad. I know shifter position is a little different but happy to modify the tunnel and a longer length suits my seating position anyway.
So my question is, can anyone familiar with T5's and the cossie variants comment on if this sounds feasable? i.e are there any sneaky differences between your run of the mill world class T5 gearbox.... I believe the cossie was a world class variant??? (anyone confirm) and the cossie box that might make this kit not suitable to fit to a non cossie box like the cheap as chips falcon or commodore variants?
Might be an option compared to the dwindling availability of type 9's and everyone thinking their worth 1500 these days!
cheers,
Llewellyn
