hello lads

put my steering column in. i have a long steering joint and wcxm. with the top clamping bolt in the joint the hits on the engine mount. with the bolt removed there is minimal clearence.
have i done somthing wrong? any suggestions

Common problem when installing a WCXM.
Lower steering rack (which can give unwanted bumpsteer effects) and/or cut engine mount (which what I did on mine).

Mine is very close but does not hit. On the passenger side though the (gear reduction) starter motor does foul on the engine mount so I just ground a scallop out of it with the grinder, problem fixed.

I didn't even think of that at the time!! :roll:

The housing obviously got rotated when I last rebuilt the starter and now there is clearance.

cut abit out of the mount. clears now
