Ford Escort Rotary Sports Sedan - Eligible for Historic Sports Sedan Category

This car was built in 1982/83 by Barry Seton for son Glenn Seton to begin his racing career. (with original 1600cc engine).

Car Details:

** Fresh Phil Laird built Mazda 13B PP engine (One Meeting) 51mm Weber Carburettor.
** Mazda Factory Close Ratio 4 Speed Gearbox (1:1 4th).
** Light Flywheel with Borg/Beck Twin Plate Clutch
** Lexan Screens
** New Gauges
** New Lightweight Battery

Car supplied with Genuine Log Book. All that is needed to make it a Historic Sports Sedan is the Certificate of Description.

Spares include:

** 2 x Sets Wheels with assorted Tyres
** Spare Wide Ratio Gearbox.
** Various other parts

This car is an ideal Entry Level to the Sports Sedan or Historic Sports Sedan categories. Very cheap to run and maintain, it is also a terrific car to drive, heaps of fun and very quick.

Best Lap Times:

Lakeside - 55.4
Morgan Park - 1:05.8
Queensland Raceway - 1:17.3 (2000cc - 3000cc Lap Record Holder from 1999 - 2001).
Indy (1997) - 2:11.7
Amaroo Park (1998) - 54.9 (would have gone 1.5 seconds quicker with decent (new) rubber).

Regretful sale, it's been a brilliant little car to own and drive, but it's served it's purpose for me.

Price - $22000 ONO.
