Hi All.
What's the best way to purchace from the UK when the vendor does not accept Paypal or credit cards?
I know of International transfers and money orders etc but I would like to know what others have used.

I just bought some stuff today in fact and just faxed off a form to my bank with the bank account details in the UK and I got a fax back this afternoon saying its all done. Didnt event have to leave the office but it did cost me $25.00. Might be a little different in Aus but I bank with Westpac so don't Imagine it will be too different given it's an Aussie bank.

Yes. looks like a Telegraphic Transfer is the best and favoured method and costs $30.
Considering my item is costing $650 I guess it's not too bad! It sucks that the exchange rate with the bank is not as competative as the international standard which adds another $17 to the cost

What is with the banks in this country, i was recently in Singapore and the quoted exchange online on XE.com is exactly what the bodgie money changers on the street give you and in some cases better (no commision)...if you ever are going to Asia take yr cash with you and never exchange it b4 you leave...and i so advise!!!!!!!!
