Any true Escort nut has had a least a few, and as for me, from my first MK2 in 1986 untill now -

4x MK2 (three 4dr, one 2dr) all now gone

5x Mk1 (four 2dr, one 4dr) which I now realise are all still owned. Oooops!

P.S. Danny, all those wrecked RS's don't count.

1st UK MK 2 2 door 1300 L, purchased in 1987 and scrapped it after 1 1/2 years as it was rotten.
2nd UK MK RS2000 custom purchased in 1988/9 and sold it in 1992 before the tin worn got hold of it (biggest mistake ever and a search of the DVLC website shows the car is still alive and kicking)
3rd OZ MK 2 2 door RS2000 purchased in 2001 and still go it
4th OZ MK2 2 door purchased in 2006 and in the process of trying to create a full spec GRP4 ROTHMANS replica

1st: 1973 Mk 1. was given it for its engine mounts to fix my sisters Mk1
sold it for 2500 after a lick of paint several years later
2nd: Mk2 2 door bought for worked engine and running gear to put into Mk1 body was beyond economical health. stripped first gear of all teeth and two plenetary gears in a burnout comp then managed to fit the stripped shell into a box trailer
3rd: 1971 Mk1 Race car...Still have it after 10 years.
4th: 1978 Mk2 2 door. partially renovated until I exported it back to the UK

I've only had two.

#1 is a Mk2 2 door that i've had for years. It's in bits in the garage.
#2 was a Mk1 4 door that was parted out and scrapped last year.

I'd like to get a few more but the missus is adament that i'm only allowed to have 2 cars at a time.

2nd - 1980 Mk2 2litre GL 1982-1993
3rd - 1973 Mk1 1300 Automatic 1989- Now my Racecar.

Same year also bought a wrecked German (with apologies to Mark C.) RS2000 sold on to Nev sometime later after using parts in my 2 litre Mk2.
Have also had 2 Ghias over the last ten years including the current daily driver.........I think that is all!

Well, lets see how we go with this

1st one: My German RS. Actually it's 21 years of ownership this month. There's something special about your first love
2nd: 2L rally pack that was converted into an RS2000, painted it Burnt Orange and have loved that colour ever since. Was written off by a friend years later.
3rd: White 2dr MK2 1600 - bought damaged and repaired and went on for many years giving faithful service
4th: White RS2000 that I repaired after being rolled. Out there somewhere.
5th: Another white German RS (rolled)
6th: Early poo brown MK2 2dr 1300 that was to be the donor shell for the rolled German RS
7th: White 4dr RS2000 (damaged - wrecked out)
8th: Red 2dr RS2000 (damaged - wrecked out)
9th: Yellow 4dr RS2000 (damaged - wrecked out)
10th: White 2dr RS2000 that I bought & sold in 2 weeks and doubled my money
11th: Yellow 1975 MK1 2dr, was a very nice one owner car. Was going to keep this until someone offered me silly money.
12th: Red 1973 MK1 2dr Auto, drove this around for 3 months while I waited for my new HSV R8 to turn up in 2000
13th: 1980 Ghia - was an absolute shitbox. Can't even remember why I bought it. Needless to say it didn't stay long.
14th: White 4dr RS2000 - was a very nice car with lots of mods
15th: Red 4dr RS2000 - absolutely beautiful car, with lots & lots of mods. Was my everyday car for 18months (complete with a S/C box)
16th: White 4dr RS2000 that I bought damaged and repaired. Went to Newcastle.
17th: MK2 2dr rolling shell tucked away in storage
18th: My 1977 Ghia that I've been rebuilding
19th: My MK1 RS2000 that WILL be getting rebuilt later this year after I finish the RS & the Ghia
20th: Ken Harrissons MK2 Group C Esky', now in Melbourne
21st: MK2 2L Rally Pack - didn't stay long
22nd: Yellow 4dr RS2000 (wrecked out)
23rd: Yellow 4dr RS2000 (wrecked out)
24th: Red 4dr RS2000 (wrecked out)
25th: Early 1600 Ghia that is providing the front quarter for the repair of the RS

I think that is just about all of them. Of course there are countless others that I should have bought, but didn't for various reasons.

1976 Ghia. Brown Metallic. Went to x-wife in 1992
1976 Mk 2 Mexico. Red. Sold...worse move of my life! Does anyone know the owner now? Sold in Sydney. New owner storing in container to this day I believe!
