Slight career change

I currently work as a programmer contracting for a few of the mining companies out there, but like many of you I'm sure, my heart has always been in the old Ford Escort.

They say that if you work in the field that you love you'll never really work a day in your life. I've always wanted to combine my programming with my love of the humble escy, but I don't really know where to start.

Does anyone here do anything like that with cars, let alone small fords? I'm trying to tee up some time with the guys who do the dyno tuning at CRed through my brother who's in contact with them, but I'll seriously take any information and advice that I can.

The final goal would be to work in a racing team, analysing car and track data. Just to be part of a something like that would be great

Seek out one of your local V 8 super car teams and try to get in contact with them.

Thats what i did. Next thing i knew I was going to Bathurst
