Hi to all
Can any body help with pics of th Gary Rogers/Rob Davies sports sedan Mk 1 as I only have the pics in log book and we are trying to restore the car .I bought it in a million bits but at least have all the origional parts

Hi John,

Only we i could find, but might have some more in archives at home.

This is from the book Ford Australian Racing History - now out of print and hard to find.

Track is Calder - not sure of year.

Try these -

Do a search on Gary Rogers or Escort - there are seven photos including some colour ones.

Search using Escort here, there is another two photos including an early all white shot of the car.

Hi John,
How many RS1600's is several? How many original RS1600's is there in Australia? Did you find them locally or did you import from the UK?

Also anyone know if there is any silver twin cams in Aus. It was a colour option but I have never seen one.

I have warned my wife that if find a silver twin cam that is in better condition than my twink I will buy it, but maybe I should just get start getting her used to a RS1600 (she knows that's my dream car).

Hi George,

There is at least one silver Twin Cam in Australia as there is one here in Victoria owned by a member of our club. The car had some competition history in NSW where it was mainly used in hillclimbs and was later fitted with a BDA.
Possibly once owned by Mal McKendry?? Not sure on that though.

In fact it is now back where it was built another PK car
out of cam atomotivebuilt for the butcher ran once in QLD
and the back to the work shop from whenst it came
round trip 4170klms on the back of a truck now beeen driven
in anger and finaly sorted it now stops

LHD & the number plates match just perfect

Garage is all approved and yes I can't buy another escort till its built and i've finished the current one.
Problem is the Adelaide vs. Melb. issue. Hopefully will know soon.

Hope to soon new cams going in at th moment and had to stand in line as
the cam man colin is flat out cant even get into have drink with the bloke
so soon it will be back on the track fun fun fun
and how good does at a BDA sound 9200rpm
to soft to rev it to 9800 cant afford more than one rebuild PA
per car
