Hi Joe 84, I'm the Manager for a large equipment hire company and we have tryed all the small welders, the best one to go for is a Lincoln SP170T, you should get one for under $900.00 if you shop around and you can weld Aluminum with it, you can buy a kit from Lincoln (part number K664-2) with all the correct parts to weld Aluminum (rolls, liner and wire), we have customer hire them all the time and have no problems, if you need any info on them i can send it to you.

belly, so you have run the kemppi 180 minarcmig ??? i heard the lincolns no comparison for kemppi as you would expect with the price difference . another happy lincoln owner, looks like i'll have to go and test run them somewhere thanks for the info

ps. i noticed they run under another name liquid arc is this the same product with no quality differences ? as alot of ppl say yea yea it's all from the same factory, BUT that doesn't mean it's the same quality, and the sp170 only has an ali transformer ?
