BankSA here in SA charge $32 for an international transfer regardless of amount. Looks like you have all the info you need (think you might need the receivers address also) but you will have to pop into your local branch.

The other end usually does get charged a small fee also by their bank so you will need to establish if the supplier is wearing that.

I have found that an international transfer is better than using a credit card - Mastercard seem to charge an admin fee as well as a fee for the exchange. Might be worth checking with your CC coy though.

Best payment method (=free to you) is PayPal but the supplier may try to charge you the 2.x% PayPal fee if they even have an account.

Yeah its not as easy as i thought it would be , Im currently asking if they will do paypal.
I tried the bank today but as stated by Oz you need the payee's address as well. and then I was told, it's done by travelX and they only do DD's on weekdays (western union on weekends).

I paid the fee and did a telegrapgic transfer (at a local branch) which was a little stressful although it was only around $500. As the seller had no other electronic means of payment it was this or a postal money order which has it's out pitfalls.

IMO there is no danger in international money transfers via a bank. No more so than any other form of payment.

Im not worried about the dangers of money transfers.
But in this day and age you would think it I could get online
with my bank account and DD to anyone, anywhere to purchase.
Never realised just how easy paypal made it until now.
