Dry Sump-Whats my options ?

Was badly spelling cosworth and oil while searching on ebay and found this

There was no photo so I bid, hoping to get a standard cosworth oil pump with a serviceable lid. It arrives in the mail and to say the least I was well surprised. No wonder the guy took his time to respond...I only paid 1 pound 24 pence plus postage! A titan series two 3 stage pump. seems to be in good condition with only mild score on one stage, and thats replaceable for 50 pounds new

Just Luck I guess.

Good (lucky) find JP. How can you miss spell "COSWORTH" in your listing - LOL! :oops:

Oh well, serves him right!

I also plug in variations of some items - calliper is sometimes a good one as it's generally only spelt with 1 "L" in Ebay listings.

of course Ive opened a can of cost here. What size tank should I be looking for as a minimum, would 5 litres do it?

Yes but make sure you buy a tank that can be split in two so it can be cleaned as without ityou will have to dump the tank if you even=r have a failure

Thanks danny, The one I am looking at is able to be split, has internal baffles to help remove air etc. I believe it has a return that allows a swirl down the sides into the strainer/condensor baffle.

Hi Justin This is the link direct to rogers previous ARE cast sump post. I highly recommend gary's work, purchased all the pump drive assembly along with some other parts through him with no hassles. I am also pritty sure when i first spoke to him he said that he had completed escort sumps for a engine builder in the UK. www.drysump.com
Also be a little wary of OBX tanks am aware of one tank that after a short while the lower oil connection split at the weld. Boot full of oil is a prick to clean.
