As you've probably guessed i know next to nothing about old engines, carbies etc etc. I'm on a pretty steep learning curb with the Escort i've got now. Trying to learn as much as possible (I like to fix things myself and not pay others if i can avoid it). As such i don't know much about carby fuel systems or manifolds.

What are the ports I have circled on this photo for? It's a Redline manifold which is as far as i can tell brand new.

Well the large one on the left is definately a vacuum takeoff for the brake booster....the others I'm not sure about. They maybe a fixing point for a linkage setup?

The small one looks like the vacuum feed for the dizzy. The two on top are mounts for the throttle linkage.

I have the same manifold

the small ones are for the linkages, hopefully you can see them in the pic below

I have a pedal box so no vacuum connections

Dawson, are you saying that the throttle cable is going to operate off the rear of the back carby?
