hmm maybe you guys are right... didnt realise the front and back are the same size... would a pedal box with different size bores for front and rear be the way to go?

Don't forget your piston size is different from front to rear, this helps balance.
From the quick and dirty sums I did based on a few wild guesses, I suspect you will be front biased, maybe slightly more than standard.
Different size front and rear masters are to course an adjustment for fine tuning balance.
Pad friction is another course way of fine tuning balance.
Fiddling with a larger master or slipprier pads for one end is going to give a heavier pedal.
If your going to go 2 girling masters then you may as well make the most of it and do a pedal box to take advantage of better pedal ratio.
Ditching the 2:1 booster means finding double the brake effort from other changes if you want to maintain the same pedal loads.
Have you tried the new rears before ripping out the master and booster ?
