Pics below are of 4 piston radial mount brembo monobloc alloy calipers.

Pistons are differential bore at 40mm & 36mm diameter.

They are fronts from the base model Porsche Boxster and Cayman circa 1997-2007.

Complete caliper assembly, Porsche P/N's;
LH : 986 351 421 03
RH : 986 351 422 03

Original rotors are 298x24mm thick.

September cost was USD$355 new each + freight, with our lead October dollar thats not quite so attractive now.

Rotor choice is a little limited by pad annulus.

Maximum rotor thickness is pretty much determined by pad thickness, then by the pad supports. The 16.8mm thick EBC greenstuff are a jam on fit for a 25.4mm thick rotor and the pistons retracted completely.

I've had a look at rotors around 290 to 300 x 24 to 26 mm in the DBA 5000 series range, with a view to custom hats.



DBA have a part number (52398) for 5000 series Boxster rotors, but had yet to manufacture as of August 2008. If your thinking of using these, give DBA a call and encourage them to manufacture.



DBA part number 52358 is a 296x26mm rotor, listed in the downloadable pdf for Lotus (Elise) Upgrade Option, this rotor has a pad annulus of 56mm. The rotors were available In August 2008. Some pad manufacturers such as Hawk make a pad thinner than EBC.

Other DBA 5000 series rotors such as subaru and acura / honda had to small a pad annulus
