G'day folks,
Long shot but worth a try here. Does anyone know of a fuel pump that has enough flow for twin webers but low enough pressure that you can run it without a regulator?
I have done a fair bit of web shopping and there are a number that claim to be almost low enough pressure, but I was wondering if anyone had any real world experience where say a carter pump in the back with a particular filter and enough fuel line to get it to the front of the car meant that pressure was low enough by the time it got there.
I really just want to simplify everyting as much as possible and if I can get away without a regulator and guage that would be fantastic. If not, what are peoples thoughts on the whole running two fuel pumps as so many rally cars seem to have (one for backup). I have a carter pump, are these considered unreliable enough to warrant running two. Why not run two ignition coils, and two fuse blocks etc etc, while i'm at it!! There are a million things that if they fail will stop the car in it's tracks, yet people only seem to have two fuel pumps??
If these aren't considered reliable enough, What would people run in a low pressure pump if they could only run one?
Cheers,
Llewellyn
