This seller is relying on people confusing him with Argo Engineering which he is not. I'd be asking for proof that they are made here. The rods look identicle to those made in China...what is it they say... if it looks like a duck and quacks,it probably is a duck!!
Cheers,
Phil.

Phil in all reality he is probably supplying a better product than Argo but then again I'd sooner use a Datsun rod than either of them!

Hi Danny,
I am new around here so forgive me if I cover old ground but I am trying to understand the love of old Datto rods. Logic says to me that you should find a better solution in a modern specialised performance rod, better metallurgy manufacturing tolerances? I would like to understand the reasons behind this preference, any pointers welcomed?
Thanks
Plod

Hey Plod, have a read of this one RE: Datto rods. My guess would be that the Japanese didn't and still don't do things by halves.

This is the guys web site:
http://www.pureperformancemotorsport.com/There are a few people making over 700hp on his rods with falcon 6cyl turbo engines and spinning them to 7000rpm with a 99.31mm stroke. (drag racing engines)

I think dannys point about the datto rods is as much to do with weight as anything els.
