just spent a deal of money on a new engine, would like to lessen the chances of having a belt break/stretch. i've got a new gates rubber belt but am interested to know if their is something of better quality availible.

A Gates is all you will ever need as I had a little hassle with the Dayco's stretching but the Gates are the ones
The performance jobbies the pom's advertise is a bit of a con so don't worry about it

I'll go with the Gates, Thanks everyone for your input, it's great to have a place to tap into the wealth of experience & knowledge that you have all gained. We are a little starved of this sort of thing up here.

Roger,
is that your engine bay? If so, where did you get the toothed drive alt, pump and crank pulleys from?
