When I grow up I wanna be...........
Begs the question - what's the craziest thing you've ever seen.
I've got a photo somewhere of a Morris 1100 in the carpark at Surfers Raceway that has a Mercedes front (headlights/grille) grafted onto it and if memory serves me correct a Mad Max style roof spoiler (to hold it on the ground when he hits the 'Go Baby Go' button).

Driving through Ipswich one day... '65 or '66 mustang bits grafted (poorly) to (i think) an XP Falcon.

you guys dont realise that the same ppl who designed & built these hillman hunters
were the very same as the small ford escort/ cortina designers
they came off the the same drawing boards
and we thought the japs were bad for copying other designs

i agree , should do an insurance job on this thing
but you could always sell the bits leftover
to keep a few cortinas , escorts & anglias going
for few more years anyway
ps
im sorry coz i have a soft spot for the old
hillman hunter gt , 1700
i saw a few rally cars in the early days & they were
driven well by the likes of andrew cowan .
one of these " works " rally cars with minlites & all the good bits
would be not much different to an escort or cortina
albeit without a Lotus or RS or Cosworth type badge .

If he cant afford the $800 for his engineers certificate there would be a fair chance he cant afford insurance either which means the Piano wont solve the problem if an extremely UGLY car sitting in his driveway!
Despite his lack of the folding stuff he obviously had a heap of time on his hands ...
