Posted: Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:30 pmAt about the 1.18 mark there is a shot of the cars heading up the eastern loop out of hungry.
The flag point in those days was on the uphill on the outside of the corner (moved to the inside a few years later).
Yours truly was a flaggie on that point for the race and I am pretty sure I was on blue for the race so that is me standing half out of the armco as the cars run up the hill.
Everyone there that day knew what they were witnessing, it was truly an electric atmosphere, an absolutely balls out, one on one race , still makes my hair stand on end (whats left of it) thinking about it.
