Where did you get the struts tops from Danny?

I would like some similar ones at some point, are they Camber/ castor or Camber only? hard to tell from the pic, but looks like camber only.

I am looking for castor adjustment more than camber, as I have some adjustable TCA's, any suggestions?

-1978 Escort 2 door 2lt shell
- Welded in chro-moly roll cage tagged into the turret and dash with
Bottom End No.1
-1992 Sierra 205 cylinder block with 3.620” bores, zero deck height, oil galleries modified for the dry sump and the welch plugs held in with 5mm cap screws and painted inside and out in pewter enamel, genuine Ford main cap bolts and auxiliary bearing
- Cosworth YB steel non-twist 9 bolt crankshaft with the big end journals ground down to 50mm O.D. and 75.2mm of stroke, King main bearing shells with .003” clearance and genuine Ford thrusts, ARP flywheel bolt with double lipped front seal and a genuine Cosworth rear seal.
- L series Nissan steel conrods with ARP 9mm bolts, lightened polished and shotpeened, little end drilled for lubrication and honed for a .827” gudgeon with .001” clearance, the big end thinned down to suit the YB crank and .015” side clearance and fitted with ACL 780 bearing shells and .003” clearance
-CP 3.620” bore custom pistons, 1.2, 1.5, 3.0mm Total Seal gapless top moly rings, .827” Tool Steel wrist pins with wire locks, valve relief depths .260” inlet and .230” exhaust with raised crowns for maximum compression and .003” piston to bore clearance
-Romac custom harmonic balancer with steel hub and alloy outer with a custom 12 tooth chopper timing disc mounted on the back face
- Custom 4340 chro-moly 9 bolt flywheel with 135toth ring gear machined in and to suit a 184mm Sachs alloy pressure plate and a 3 Carbotic button clutch plate with a total weight of 4.9kg’s!
Bottom End No.2

- The fully counterbalanced 9 bolt crankshaft has been custom made by Tighe Cams from a rather expensive steel billet with 75.2mm stroke with 50.8mm big end journals to suit a Clevite NASCAR heat treated tri-metal big end bearing and either King or Clevite main bearing shells. The big ends throws have also been angle milled and hollowed and fitted with genuine Cosworth core plugs and retaining bolts to reduce weight and allow the big end to be crossdrilled for improved oil supply and fitted with ARP flywheel bolts.
- Cunningham custom 4340 forged chro-moly connecting rods, milled ‘I’ beams, 137mm (5.39”) centres, 3/8” Cunningham 12 point bolts custom little end bushings and big ends to suit a small journal Chev bearing and a rod stroke ratio of 1.82
-Romac custom harmonic balancer with steel hub and alloy outer with a custom 12 tooth chopper timing disc mounted on the back face

Cylinder head No.1
- Cosworth YB 2wd cylinder head with 16 custom Ferrea valves with 37.5mm inlet and 31.5mm exhaust with 7mm stems, combustion chambers welded up to increase compression ratio and squish with 44cc volume, lightweight steel buckets, Cosworth DFR “Schmitthelm” valve springs, Cosworth retainers and collets, custom billet cast iron camshafts by Tighe Cams with a Coventry Climax .475” lift and 314 degrees duration, custom aluminium cam pulleys and a Gates Kevlar belt. Custom graphite .047” thick YB head gasket

Cylinder head No. 2
-Genuine Cosworth RS500 cylinder head casting but I’m trying to negotiate with Roy Millington for one of his new head casting with an integral throttle barrel intake

-Jenvey YB inlet manifold with custom Millington tapered throttle bodies (from the 2.5lt engine), fuel rail, ram tubes with custom linkages, custom bell crank and 550cc Bosch type injectors. Custom aluminium filter plate by Ken Gray with a Pipercross Hart 420R foam type filter and custom ACL inlet gasket
- Exhaust by Bruce Agate at Gonzo’s Racing Pipes with 2” primaries, 2.5” secondaries and 3” main system with a custom Phil Laird stainless packed muffler mounted under the boot floor all retained by double slip joints and springs and custom ACL gaskets
- PWR custom aluminium radiator with two 30mm dimple cores, 82c degree t/stat, 7.4lt’s of demineralised water and Redline Water Wetter
- Bosch 55amp alternator with oversize aluminium pulley and commutator brushes tapered ground to prevent bounce
- Custom 1.9kw 10 tooth gear reduction starter motor (quite small and light)
- Peterson 3 stage rotor type dry sump oil pump with custom mount onto the inlet side of the block driven off a custom Tighe Cams steel auxiliary shaft with a longer snout to mount an 18 tooth HTD pulley in front of the YB timing pulley and a Gates 480mm HTD belt. Spacer between the timing and pump pulleys has been machined with a post to provide a TDC no.1 synch reference for the Motec ecu. Oil system consists of a Peterson 2gallon two piece oil tank, with a Peterson billet oil filter on the pressure line from the pressure stage to the engine. On the scavenge side there is a Serck Marsten 19 row -12AN cooler to a Peterson billet filter mount with a spin on type Fram Motorsport paper filter just before the tank
- Titan aluminium “Reynard FF2000” stressed member dry sump pan dowelled to the block with custom Ivan Tighe billet -12AN scavenge pickups and an aluminium adaptor plate to the bottom of the bell housing and custom 0.4mm ACL gaskets and genuine Ford seals
- Bosch 044 Motorsport injection pump, SX billet pressure regulator, -6AN Speedflow pressure and return lines, two Peterson billet 20 micron filters, one before the pump and one after. Custom 35lt aluminium fuel tank with an integral swirl pot
- Motec M4Pro ecu and custom wiring harness by Michael Keene, Nippon Denso dual coil packs, Magnacore UK custom KV-85 ignition leads

Transmission
- Quaife 5 speed dog box with alloy main housing large series lay shaft bearings, 2.39 1st gear, 0.87 5th, custom rose jointed gear lever with increased leverage ratio and aluminium base, -6AN breather system, genuine Ford RS aluminium bellhousing modified to clear front lay shaft bearing support, 1.9lt’s Redline Liteweight shockproof ester based oil.
- Custom made chro-moly tailshaft fabricated by Ken Hastings
- Toyota Hilux RN41 diff housing with tube flanges removed to take a pair Romac spindles and aluminium full floating hubs with hollow 30 spline axles and drive flanges, Toyota carriers with ratio’s ranging from 4.3 to 5.28 to 1 with either Romac maxi-spools or KAAZ clutch plate LSD and 4lt’s of oil.

Brakes
- Custom Escort pedal box with steel bushed pedals, Tilton balance bar, AP Racing .812” front master cylinder and a Girling .750” rear master cylinder and AP Gilrling reservoirs with -4AN inlet lines and 3/16” steel outlet lines with -3AN flexible lines to the calipers.
- Alcon 4 spot radial mount motorsport callipers with 41-44mm differential pistons, Alcon 305x28mm 48 vane motorsport discs and either Ferodo DS2500 or DS3000 pads
- Rears are Brembo 2 spot aluminium calipers with 257x20mm ventilated discs using either Ferodo DS2500 or DS3000 pads

Suspension
Front – Capri stub axles with MCA/Proflex 3 way adjustable monotube struts tig welded in place with the stub axles milled to increase camber by 2 degrees
Kings linear rate 2.5” I.D. 275lb springs. The front struts have 60mm of bump travel and 60mm of rebound.
Strut tops are a custom pair of aluminium top plate with rose jointed slide adjustment for camber and castor and mounted on top of the strut tower on the engine bay side to increase the bump travel. Currently running standard Ford Capri hubs with Ford Motorsport 12x1.5mm long studs, with solid spacers between the tapered roller bearings to stiffen the stub axles and custom 12mm aluminium wheel spacers. Hubs will be soon replaced with a set of custom 7075T8 aluminium hubs with oversize outer bearings and another set of solid spacers. Custom 22mm adjustable sway bar, Gartrac Group Four anti-dive kit with double width chassis mounts, urethane bushes, TRW track control arms, Gartrac Group 2 world cup crossmember, Quaife 2.2 turns quick rack with custom phosphor bronze bushings and Group 4 steering joint.
Rear- Custom Kings 5 leaf springs with central front eyes and inverted rears with an added rebound leaves to minimise tramp, urethane bushes, SBR watts linkage rocker pivot with a fabricated and braced A frame mounted to the boot floor for adjustment of the rear roll centre and rose jointed ¾” chro-moly rods attaching to the diff housing on each side. Dampers are a set of custom made Proflex monotube 3 way adjustable for rebound and high and low speed bump and have been very effective in dialling all axle tramp.
Wheels- Panasport Ultralite 15x7” “minilight” type wheels, A048R Yokohama 205/50/15 control race tyres for Improved Production class
