Just to show that I am doing something whilst the car is off the track. When we originally resprayed the car in about 1992 we never bothered to do the boot and i've always hated it. Now is as good a time as any with other painting to be done on the car.

It's only held on by a couple of rivets at the moment.

Do you want your wheels back or not? Though I don't suppose 2 is of much use to me anyway! I'm doing the boot because I WANT to.

Thanks Belly. I've always been too embarrased to open the boot. This is my chance to fix it.
No Dave that's the replacement guard rivetted in place temporarily

Well I haven't been on here in over 12 months which was a bit of a shock and I haven't posted about this car for over 2 years. Been some MAJOR changes in my life but I've come out the other side now and things have settled down again. Some of you will be pleased to know that the Mk1 has finally gone to the panel beaters last Saturday to be repaired and have the tidy-ups done that I wanted. It's only been 3 & 1/2 years since I crashed it.......can't rush these things!! The engine has gone into Cowie Performance for a freshen up as well and I hope to be back competing later this year. Can't wait to get back behind the wheel again.
