I don't have any upcoming events planned at the moment, lots to do in and around the shed to keep me busy. Would like to put the 4.9 in it and possibly do a hillclimb at the end of september. Need some new tyres too.

Posted: Sun Jul 31, 2016 8:51 pmwow, almost a year since the last post, time flies. Not much has been done to the car since the last update and I've only entered a few events in the last 12 months as I've spent a lot of time working in and around the shed (not enough on my own cars though 
)

Lotus Car Club Lakeside Driver Training Circuit - this was fun!
and a day at Mt Cotton Hillclimb, the first time there in ages
So it's time for Noosa Hillclimb again next weekend and a bit of maintenance was called for. The alternator adjuster bracket had once again cracked the water pump housing so it was time for a better solution. The 'parts car' just happened to have an alternator bracket that bolted to the block in 3 places so I set about modifying it to take the smaller alternator that I had sourced a couple of years ago. The alternator adjuster bracket now bolts to the main bracket rather than the water pump housing so hopefully it will hold together better, time will tell i suppose.
