Have you talked to Damien Carter (he is the Pi representitive in Australia) and although he mainly deals with the pi data systems (from what I know of him) I think he may be able to help you with this sort of thing as well. He is a good guy, so Im sure he will do his best to help. (Call me for his details if you would like)
Even though I work for motec, you are so far down the track with the PI, you should probably perservere with it.
If you decide not to, there is an all new cheaper M800 based MoTeC being released on Wednesday (3-11).
It would be perfect for your car if you decide that you cant get the Pi to work.

Funny thing is that they look like ID2000 and not ID1000. 1.5 days on the dyno down the bin. Owner of shop in the US at the SEMA show - engine being threatened to be taken off dyno (that I waited 1 month to get on) - no other options for high impedance 2000cc to hand.
Extreme school boy errors here. But here are the results.
1. Injectors outflowed the flowbench. 2. Flow test of the fuel system showed 9 litres a min (3 bar pressure) out of the fuel reg return (pumps on - engine off). 3. Fuel pressure dropping at 6500rpm (28psi on top of 43psi).
Pulled the reg apart to find some small plastic bits stuck in the fuel reg blocking the flow. Fucked knows how they got there and am extremely lucky they did not cost me an engine. Thanks to Insight Motorsports for there service in testing and validating that I do have ID2000's.
The engine looks VERY impressive. Lucky for you the little bits of plastic in the reg didn't cause the entire engine to be added to your "list"..............

Just spent a week in Port Hedland and found it rather strange. On the Friday went to the Pier Hotel (one of the roughest pubs in Aus with the most stabbings) and was BLOWN away by the amount of crazy hot chicks there!? 150 in pub must have been 30-40 super hots. Super money there dudes - recommend to all the single hard boiled types!
A decent day but a bit short of my expectations. Looking back on my engine spec perhaps some wilder cams. more porting, bigger turbo and a little more compression might have got me closer. I am also sure that the day did not help @ 30degree c and air density 92.7% which had ACT's @ 56 deg.
However I am sure the engine will be a hoot to drive....
I had trouble with the boost controller and definately needed boost per rpm. I had the boost controller set higher but got surge at 32psi @ 4200rpm. Mapped the engine at heaps on load sites and pretty happy.
Have done quite a few hours lately on the car for what feels like little progress. I hate it when some things take MUCH longer than anticipated. I did drink a lot of beer though (maybe that is the problem?)
Thought I would show quite a good way of quick releasing the bumper off. Remove the upper screw and drill though... and the some 50 x 50 box section fits niceley into the chassis rails to hold the bumper.
Also it sucks trying to fit some bigger rubber into the front - no wonder the sierra where undertyred (and the eggenberger crew got disqualified). It is almost imposssible to fit these tyres 240mm wide on to the front.
About 7mm clearance to the spring seat - I am going to turn down the spring platform and change the c spanner to get 5mm off the back face of the wheels.
Cut the @#$% out of the front bumper for turning clearance. Cry original 500 splitter.
Remove most of the metal underneath the arches.
Lininsh the back of the arches to fit.
Drill the spot welds on the front guard and space guard by 30mm. Also cut the crap out of this bracket to clear turning tyre.
Also fitted the oil cooler to the rear of the car - close to where I will mount the dry sump tank. Made a scoop to channel the air (it is designed so it will break off if hit by something and the mouting brackets for the oil cooler will remain).
