Howdy,
Id always thought the blue bar was a twincam unit.
Can someone confirm, this????
Brown unit is STD, I think.
Bars are laying central on each other, fronts lined up with concrete edge.

Can't help with Roger's question, however it does raise one of my own whilst swaybars are being discussed. What difference is there with the RS3100 to an Escort bar, is it similar to the twincam one?
Anthony.

Anthony,
I have a parts list for the RS3100 and it doesn't list any special number for the sway bar as being different to a normal one. Someone with greater knowledge of Capri's may know different.
As to how it would differ from an Escort, you'd probably need to lay them side by side to see. I would have thought they would not be interchangeable, but you never know.

Nev, it just came up in a conversation the other day that Kieth from KCF Rallysport was running one in his Mk2 and I was wodering what the advantage of that would be?

Capri bars are a fair bit wider.

Roger,
From experience its a bit more confusing (certainly with Euro cars)
Blue bar looks like a Tc one (will give more caster) but there are others that are also like that, I have found various cars over the years that have different lengths, as well as diameters,
usually MK1 bars are shorter than MK2 though (but not always)
there are also 3 (to best of my knowledge, this is how many I have seen) different step back positions on the chassis brackets (does that make sense?) so the same bars can give much more or less caster depending on which brackets are used to mount them, there is a fair amount of change available by mixing and matching.
There were also bars going round being sold as TC ones which had a longer shank, allowing some adjustment by packing washers either side of TCA bush as required.
So it may or may not be for twink, but if it gives the required castor, and is the diameter you require
Yes you are right Capri one is wider
