Hi fellas, does anyone know where you can get new inserts for mk1 1300 struts. Otherwise whats involved to change to coil over front setup, tips etc? Any help appreciated, cheers Phil

for a coil-over conversion for a mk2, mk1 would be similar, using mk2 (2.0) or capri struts

Thanks Scott, you took me around Mt Cotton on the "Come and try day", I was in the dodgy white 4 door Mk1. I am just trying to keep it a budget bit of fun. I have since done a couple of happy lap days at QR and Lakeside, and drive it to work once or twice a week. I am really quite happy with how it handles but noticed the front strut inserts didn't have alot of resistance? when I had them out to put in some new springs. It now has twin cam front bar,antidive, kings fronts and rear reset, Eurospeed strut tops and Gaz rear shocks.

Hi fellas, I've still had no luck finding a supplier of new front shocks for the Mk1. Let me know if they are still available, cheers Phil.

Put some Capri legs in and you will have lots of options and bigger brakes as well
