Fitting larger diameter Strut tops in late MK II

Hi Guys,

Got a great deal on the following front strut combination-

Capri Struts
Coilover conversion
Koni Yellow Shocks
285 lb springs
Eurospeed Eccentric Strut Tops

My question is that the Strut Tops are for a MK I or early MK II with the larger strut top holes.

As I see it I have 3 options -

1. Is it possible to just drill 3 new holes in the shell to fit the larger PCD of the strut tops
2. Have the strut tops drilled to suit the smaller PCD (Not ideal as I may loose a lot of the benefit of the struts tops adjust camber & caster)
3. Buy blank strut tops and have them drilled to suit the Larger PCD. Want avoid this if possible or if somone wanst to do a swapsies that would be cool.

Also will the escort 2ltr hubs fit on the capri struts?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Matt

P.S. It wrapped in pink towels for 2 reasons

1. To stop getting crap on them
2. I hated these sheets. Don't tell the wife ballandchain.gif

For a standard strut top it requires cutting the hole bigger as well as drilling 3 new holes for the bolts. It's a pita to try and do with a gas axe as there's multiple layers of steel (been there, done that to fit a set of world cup struts into a mk2...). As your tops aren't standard you'd get away without enlarging the hole, but you'll lose maximum adjustment.

Whats the big dilemma!
Just stick the top in go to the wheel aligner and when you've got it where you want it drill and tap three new holes in the alloy
DONE!!!!!!1
