mk1 2dr struts. i chucked spring clamps on, undid the nuts holding the control arm and the tie rod, and nothing. i even had a bash with a hammer (sheilding with wood) and nothing budged.

figured id ask u lot before i broke something.

whats the deal? why wont they come off??????

You need a balljoint splitter.

Alternatively, 2 hammers. You neen to hit the loop of metal that holds the balljoint stud, from opposing sides striking at the same time.

Hiting down on the arm or joint won't work.

If you don't follow what I'm explaining, best not too proceed.
