I have just bought another Mk2 RS2000, in bits but a reasonable start for a resto.

The seats (front and back) look like they have been recovered some years ago. They do look like RS seats but the odd thing is the button/lever thingly to flip the seats forward (its a 2 door) is right down low near the wheel that adjusts the seat back angle. It basically moves like a lever in the same ark at the seat back "wheel".

All the other RS's I have had had the button about mid way up the side of the seat back.


Has anyone seen this before?

the seats from my 78 2door rally pack has the same seats mechanism as you describe below. (I know that these are the original seats).

'79 models had the flip lever half way up the side, '80 models had them just above the wheel.
