It's a sad day for Rally Fans. With no Ford or Mini and Loeb only doing selected events, Red Bull certainly have some work to do for next year. Guess we will have to see what M-Sport have planned for 2013 before i book my Coffs accommodation. Might have to head across to Otago instead...

Hopefully M-Sport can still get the funding to run at least on competitive driver for the whole championship.

I though this was on the cards for 2014, but didn't expect it for next year.

I would have gone with Monte 2003 win. That blew me away and I've just keep getting less surprised by what he's capable of as times gone by.

I'm with you fella's.. why would they leave now! They have a Fiesta one make series O/S, they are bringing the Fiesta R2 in for competition here, the Fiesta ST (Turbo) goes on sale early next year, Loeb has a limited run giving them more chance of a win; and we'll pull out..??? I realise the car market in Europe is bad, but come on Ford give us something!!!

PS As much as i hate to say, Loeb is definetely the Greatest... saying he isn't is like saying Lance didn't Dope

bit like shoesmacker, wins everything because he has no real competition at the time! history books crammed full of their names but no mention who they are competing against or not really competing against as the truth be. Not saying neither are tallented or nice guys or whatever just saying there is a durge in talent when someone succeedes like this.

But he has competed against and out done McRae (1), Solberg (1), Sainz (2), Gronholm (2) and even Tommi (4) all former World Rally Champs. Sure the names of late have not been as big, but he only just made it to the title in 2010 and 2011, showing their still is competition. The true test would have been a change of manufacturers, but it's a bit late for that now
