HELP PLEASE! MK1 Brake conversion

Hoping someone can help me with my "70" mk1 2 door's brakes!
I have fitted disc brakes, steering, suspension & 2ltr pinto/4speed out of a 1980 model mk2. My problem is that my mk1 was originally a 1100 drum brake poverty pack, which was not fitted with a booster. It has the old master cylinder (rounder shape resevoir with spacer) fitted to the firewall. The mk2 booster does not seem to line up on the mk1. I took everything including all of the brake lines, booster, pedal box, diff (complete with drums etc) from the mk2.
So wondering what are my best options to hook up my brakes using the parts that i have? I realise the differences with the imperial/metric hoses, but how can I make this all work, do I need the booster?, can I make a hybrid of mk1/mk2 parts, will the mk1 master cylinder operate the mk2 discs without a booster? etc. Any help will be much appreciated,
Thanks Jeff
