I gotta 1977,,, 2 door with a side tank .
Im told that the (BC ) series ,,,is the under boot tank with the number plate entry.
So far i ve found that the rear fill cap is definately a different size to the side fill.
Im relying on the data base of Escort believers on where i can source a locking fuel cap.
Do panelvan caps fit ?

can you post a photo of the side fill?
We (Europe) only have a side fill tank so a locking cap should not be difficult to find.

I could confirm the van theory, but someone else currently has my Mk1 tank.

The input is muchly appreciated ,,,The tridon link has helped me with specific dimensions.
