What's the most impressive thing you've driven?

Thought it would be interesting to get peoples feedback on a simple question.

What's the most impressive thing YOU'VE driven driving.gif

Doesn't have to be the festest, but something that you've hopped out of and thought "WOW" :D bouncyblue.gif partydance.gif thumbup.gif

For me, would have to be driving/racing the RS around Bathurst last year. Achievement of a life long dream and what a track. Certainly one of those top 5 memorable moments in my life.

What's yours ???

Doing about 15 laps of Lakeside (1/2 in the wet) as a passenger in Kevin Waldock's RS500 "Group A" (ex DJR) Sierra, still stands out for me!! Danny's car would have to be the standout drive though!!

What? Steve hasn't been on yet to mention something about him and Mr Vatanen??

I really enjoyed a short drive in a 500hp R32 GTR back in about '96. An AMG E63 around Wakefield Park was fun too.

Having proof in black and white that I've beaten Chris Atkinson on a few stages back in 2001 is pretty satisfying (but in no way representative of either drivers talents  ).

Been thinking and realised that I don't get to drive much other than boring times, not do I get behind the wheel of interesting cars - Gary gets first dibs .

The only drive that really stands out was driving the race car at Mt Cotton on a Come And Try Day and getting out after doing 58 secs (Gary was doing 48 secs at that time) and not being able to undo the helmet my hands were shaking so much. But I was thinking 'Wow! Now I know why he does this."

I can remember a few drives where I was passenger. Not rated in any particular order;

Sitting in the back seat of Neville's Torana LH SS hatch, hanging on to the roll cage, because the seatbelt wasn't there, on a trip from Jupiter's Casino back to Brisbane via Murwillumbah.

Sitting in the standard passenger seat (and standard seat belt) of a non-standard Gemini driven be Damian Wildie, trying to take photos of Gary in the Blue Escort driving around Lakeside. We were not going slow. I did get photos.

Sitting in the passenger seat, twisted around to take photos of the convoy of cars behind, driving over the Burringbar Ranges on the way to Brooms Head - and the car (Damian Wildie again) behind hitting gravel on the outside of the corner and losing it, spinning and ending up facing the wrong direction. And no photos, I forgot to take them.

I've sat in the passengers seat of this a few times - before the Bowdens bought it back. It doesn't like crawling with the traffic at 60k.

Went for a drive in my uncle's mates R35 GTR.

It is F'n nuts. 0 - 100 in about 4ish seconds.

It has soo much torque when you have it in automatic it gets into top gear (7th) at 45kmh so it can just tootle around.

But also a very comfortable 4 seater as well. I sat in the back and I'm 6.4 with not a bad fit. Better than my S15.

My best drive would have to be driving a VIP petfood 911 (996) cup car around the gold coast Indy track on green slick on a damp track...
