Hi All,

I am considering purchasing a set of new camshaft roller followers to suit the 2 litre Escort engine. I already have a really nice near new billet cam, so the roller followers will need to have the same ratio as the standard type follower.

Does anyone know where I can purchase these?

Just checked Burton Power and Essinger website however don't appear to have any.
Esslinger appear to have them included in a complete cam kit, however I just want the followers themselves, and not suited specificlly to suit their own cams.

Roller followers have a very different profile than a standard follower, i.e. roller followers are round and standard followers have a flatter profile so lift and duration specs are totally different. I've also been told a steel billet is required for roller followers as the contact profile between follower and cam lobe is narrower so more pressure on a smaller area. It is also recommend to drill the cam so that oil is fed through the cam and cam loabe itself rather than a spray bar. Lots to consider I'm affraid.
