Going to use a Burtons oil filter blanking plate on the Pinto (as below) rather have turn up a bung to block off the oilway from the standard pump. I have searched through the Earl's and Speedflow websites but cannot find a suitable adaptor or connector to connect a -10AN braided line into it. The Burton part has a 3/4" UNF female connection.
What do I need??

3/4 unf is a 16 thread per inch. No taper for sealing so I'd guess you need an o-ring fitting. SAE o-ring boss.
Aeroquip FCM2955 or FCM2959, but they only go to a -12AN fitting so you might need a sleeve (if one exists??) and use FCM2953 or FCM2957
NPT is only 14tpi so those fittings won't work
At least that's my guess anyway...

Try a Speedflow 920-10-08, if you cant find one of those just use a male flare reducer -10 to -8 (# 815-10-08) add an oring to the -8 end, remove the flare and counter bore the same end.

It's all in that pdf I linked to in your other thread and a bit of googling on thread chats, tpi etc. Takes a bit of reading and measuring and the occasional buying of the wrong item!
Most of the filters/thermostat/cooler fittings I have come across are npt so npt to an adaptors are fairly common. I've used inverted flare to an fittings on brake and power steering lines.
Next fittings I have to figure out are aircon.

I use a Peterson -10AN, 3/4"UNF washer seal fitting with a venturi'd inner bore and then mill the surrounding material on the block to provide a flat surface to seal, works great and never leaks

No I dont want to mill. I dont have in-house facilities and dont want to pull the engine down seeing as it has just had a rebuild!!
Never heard of those but will note them.
Are Earls hose ends as bad as people say? Those eBay ends you use seal well?

The speedflow page i saw didn't say which end was which so I read it the same way as the Aeroquip fitting.
Still, wouldn't the 3/4 be -12? (ie -12 is 12/16 = 3/4)??

The Speedflow one has too narrow of a sealing face and has a poor internal bore compared to the Peterson supplied jobbie
Look at the part number 08-0501

OK this is really confusing me now.
That Peterson fitting is 08-0501 Fitting - 10 AN Nose x -12 AN Port. Although -12AN is 3/4" isn't 3/4" UNF a totally different thread type???? That Peterson fitting would have a -12AN with an NPT thread would it not??
This is where I fall in a heap once the different thread types come into it

OK, looking back at the thread charts I see what you mean. Can't wait till they go metric....
