Couldn't it be registered in the same way kit / locost / caterham thing cars are? Low volume manufacturer or whatever the loophole is?
Components can be changed as required.
Seems like a great way to get a retro look with a fantastic chassis. Much better than driving around in a cobra replica thing.

Alister I would wait until you see the chassis in the flesh before you use the word fantastic as the t-cars I saw at brands definitely weren't that
