Roger there was a long thread over on classic rally cars a while ago concerning this class. Supposedly brought about by the growing popularity of AMSAG classes. As far as i know engines must come from same manufacturer of car and must run carbs other than that what ever you can afford to build into the car goes. This might have changed with the final rules thou. Could be an interesting class especially with all the YB heads getting around now.

PS I can think of one yellow MK2 i would like to see with gravel tyres fitted.

yet another class for the diminishing fields in CAMS rallies. CAMS would do better by sorting out all of their crap.
Build a car for 4 rounds?
AMSAG have allowed these fredoms and more for years,with more events and lower entry fees.
