Dry Electrical Joint

Looking some confirmation. I have a set of Mk 2 RS guages that seems to have a dry joint (or they are earthing out) - I'm diagnosing that on the following - when you flick the indicator switch, the hazard lights appear on the dash, but the 1 indicator works on the car.

Swap the RS guages to a spare that I have and the problem isn't there (therefore the problem should be in the dash).

Who could fix/test this and any idea on a ballpark figure (would it be cheaper to look for another set of guages)

david w , on the sunny cst , i would go to either or
maroochy or caloundra airport & ask the light aircraft
engineers , who is the local aircraft "instument" electrical guy
they speak another language ,, like osiliscopes , volts / lightening strikes . , amps , resistance
multimeters , reverse polarity , & the current movements of U.F.O,s
its all modern day voodoo to me

Sounds like a poor connection problem, probably where the loom plugs to the flexi circuit board or the lamp holders to the flexi circuit board. Could also be a crack in the flexi circuit board trace.

Have a good close look at how well the contacts mate up.

Sorry, I might be getting confused with what you have said, but are you swapping a standard Mk2 dash with an RS dash and getting the problem? If so, it is possibly due to an RS dash not being a straight foward "plug 'n' play" item - the pins in the loom plug need to be rearranged to suit.
