I had Roger send me 4 rims from Adelaide to Brisbane via BusFreight, and it cost about $80 from memory (door to dor too). Seems like a great way to get your gear around the country.

The only experience I've had with transport companies was when I bought a set of 4, 16inch rims with tyres from Sydney. The cheapest quote I could get to have them sent to Melbourne was with AirRoad Direct:

$102 door to door, all booked over the net. Even Bus Freight was more expensive. The wheels just needed to be wrapped in plastic so the shipping details could be stuck on them.
