A pull down of the front end in my MK1 after a little off track excurison last weekend has revealed the bush on the passenger side of the rack (ie the one inside that the rack rides in) has broken up.

I have one of the Super Pro urethane style ones on the shelf but was wondering if there are any other options? The last rack I built with one of these bushes fitted took a long time to bed in and free up (steering effort wise).

Any suggestions welcome.

shaun -- i had one of the good bushes in mine but the years harden them up & make them brittle
, i chose to machine my own slightly longer high qual nylon bush
over the poly eurathane type
ps
i have a heap of spare rack parts you are welcome to come have a look
anytime

I give up on plastic and had phosherous bronze ones made.
