What it does highlight is the need for Lemon Laws in Australia like they have in the US. After a house the car is usually the next biggest expense we will make. Why shouldn't we have it replaced if it turns out to be a Monday car.

The US have the right idea here - they have guidelines for what constitutes a Lemon, and if the car qualifies the manufacturer has to replace it. That's all there is to it!

Justin's right - all manufacturer's have their lemons. Hope this poor guy gets some action to help rectify his particular issues.
