And yes I know the Bilgola Bends intimately. Firstly in my Dads brand new 3.3litre 3 speed auto column shift XD Falcon and later in my 1300 XL(with sports pack) Mk2. Great times were had on a Friday night!!! Steve...why did you have to mention Grandview Drive??? I threw my Dads XD off the road and over a gutter there one Friday night. Resulting in 15degrees positive camber on left front (tow truck required) My Dad went to his grave believing that I had been run off the road!
Then again, maybe he wasn't that gullable........

i know what you mean gary -- my dad still thinks the tufts of grass stuck between the rim & tyre on his mk2 rally car was due to the fact that my little brother had problems parking it at avalon surf club -- purely due to the locked diff at the time & nothing !! i mean nothing !! ! to do with the use of the hyd h/brake coming down --grandview parade newport !!

We'll have to catch up on these stories ....and bore everyone else sh..less at the same time!!

I just remembered I was going to post some pics of my mate Rob's rollover, if anyone can remember the story from the other night.??

The story was that in mid roll he somehow managed to unlatch his willans harness as his arms were flailing around (if you look at a willans buckle it is actually not that hard to flick it in an accident)

Second pic shows the harness is already undone and he is holding himself in the car by the steering wheel.

Third pic shows how lucky he was.

Scary stuff, but a big relief for us that he was OK
